In an attempt to reignite Millennials’ passion for digital creatures, Minneapolis content agency COOL STORY recently gave digital birth to the first Tamagotchi that you can control through social media.
The animated creature, which lives on their Instagram channel, responds to commands from users via the comment section.
“We’ve been trying to figure out ways to convert Millennial-nostalgia into cold hard cash,” COOL STORY founder Alex Frecon says. “Investing in the Tamagotchi sector should help us achieve this goal.”

“We’ve found that a lot of Millennial parents use the Tamagotchi as a training ground for real-life parenting,” Frecon continues. “We don’t know if that is safe or not, but again, we’re just here for the cold hard cash.”
