What would you do?

The Lynx Marketing Manager is a champion for the Lynx franchise and takes the lead in bringing ideas to life. This essential role within the Marketing team oversees campaign moments big and small, from leading ticket sales on-sales to giveaways, and ensures a seamless and consistent approach for all marketing. A successful Lynx Marketing Manager is as comfortable developing and sharing big-picture strategies as they are managing small executional details and is a highly effective communicator that can bring all stakeholders along on the journey.

1. Develops and presents creative and marketing briefs that are clear, concise and deliver on marketing objectives & garner support from leadership and cross-functional partners.
2. Builds Marketing campaigns & programs across owned marketing channels, including but not limited to digital, email, video, app, in-arena and print executions.
3. Plans, activates & oversees assigned in-market and in-arena Marketing experiences, including but not limited to gamedays/nights and promotional giveaways.
4. Leads assigned cross functional teams across the organization to develop and deliver integrated campaign and project assets.
5. Acts as the Marketing steward across the organization.
6. Evaluates creative and provides thoughtful & impactful feedback to ensure that assets are in alignment with the creative vision, brief and adhere to Marketing guidelines.
7. Flexes between strategy and execution to ensure campaigns and projects meet strategic objectives and are executed flawlessly.
8. Provide analysis of data and insights to determine campaign & program effectiveness, creating meaningful recaps in partnership with the Business Intelligence team.
9. Collaborates with the paid media lead to develop creative assets that complement priority segments and media plans.
10. Liaison to the WNBA League office as needed for marketing initiatives.
11. Marketing lead for team outfitting development with responsibility for developing strategies and leading them though execution in partnership with external vendor partners and/or the internal creative team.
12. Assists in the development & tracking of the annual marketing planning.
13. Stays up to date on culture, trends and the marketing and media landscape.

Additional information:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a marketing role at either an agency or on the client side.

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibility

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00PM. In addition to working office hours staff are required to work Timberwolves home games, in addition to external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will occasionally ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff will frequently move boxes and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

Travel: Position may require travel to external events.
