Positioned for its next stage of growth, Range Digital is excited to announce the hiring of Chris Landon as Vice President, Operations. Chris arrives carrying momentum from a five-year stint at local agency staple space150, and previously Mirum/Wunderman Thompson.

“As a growth agency focused on extracting data-based insights and driving data-validated results, Range’s business ideologies map nearly 1:1 with my project and agency management philosophies,” Landon says. “We’re going to be making surgical, purposeful internal changes over the course of the next six months to ensure our internal data engine is firing on all cylinders and providing the data points we need to be operationally prepared for the next big things to come. I believe deeply in people over process, and arming some of the smartest people in the industry with the data points they need to drive healthy client partnerships, results-oriented work, and an exceptional working environment where everyone feels valued. I couldn’t be more excited about the promise at Range and what lies ahead.”

Started by Jon Goodman in 2015, Range has been building its client base and practices for the past several years and recently reached a critical juncture. “It was clear to me as we continued to grow that Range’s reach was only limited by my time, my own personal availability,” says Goodman. “I needed someone who understands how to drive agency performance internally, support and build Range’s brand externally, and pretty simply stated: someone I trust. Chris and I crossed paths and it just couldn’t have been a better fit.”

At the onset, Chris will focus on operational preparedness for 2023 and forward, unifying and simplifying some of the internal business operations. In addition, he’ll be strategizing and coaching on more focused and efficient ways to drive work forward without losing track of KPIs for Range and its partners. Looking toward the future he’ll be leading the charge on agency scaling, resource utilization and focusing on employee appreciation. “The single most important thing to me is that the talented people working at Range always feel included and supported. Everyone deserves to feel like what they’re doing is an important contribution, but not so important that it overrides their right to be individuals with lives and priorities outside of work. It needs to be both….always,” says Landon.

Chris is a Minneapolis local who has been building his career here in Minnesota since 2010. When he’s not chasing people to submit their timesheets or trying to define the next-best way to deliver digital work for clients, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and three mischievous boys. And you may find him and his laptop periodically enjoying a cocktail in the North Loop. But he’s likely not all THAT busy – feel free to interrupt him and say hello.
