Summer in Minnesota means a whole bucket list of sights to see and ways to enjoy the warmer weather. Before Minnesotans hit the road in search of sunshine and adventure, they top off the tank and stock up on snacks. So Periscope encouraged them to say I’MN to summer fun by picking up Road Trip scratch tickets along with the rest of their trip essentials.

The TV spot features friends on a road trip, snapping photos and scratching tickets as they travel the state’s scenic byways, small towns, and roadside attractions. Some of Minnesota’s most iconic landmarks — including Spoonbridge and Cherry in Minneapolis, Big Ole in Alexandria, and the Coffee Pot Water Tower in Lindstrom — are also featured on the ticket itself, which was designed by Minnesota illustrator Brent Schoonover. Periscope also invited local influencers to hit the road to capture and share their own unique Minnesota road adventure. Because sometimes the journey is just as exciting as the destination.
