Jackson Hole Attracts Winter Thrill Seekers with Dynamic OOH Campaign & More

For some people, wintertime means hibernation. For many others, it brings excitement and adventures of a lifetime. To attract these cold-weather thrill seekers to one of the nation’s premier mountain destinations, Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism is running an unconventional campaign that challenges people to leave hibernation to the animals. The campaign includes:

– A unique and disruptive OOH activation featuring a Jeep stacked as high as the law allows with various winter sports equipment. The imposing 16-feet tall, action-packed vehicle with graphics that read “It’s a long winter, just the way we like it.” is touring through San Diego now, but also visited Los Angeles and San Francisco.

– Online/social videos that parody nature documentaries by featuring this rare breed of human in their natural habitats found only in Jackson Hole.

– Giant mural in NYC reflecting the winter thrill-seeking spirit of the campaign.

While known for its extremely high-level skiing and snowboarding, what sets Jackson Hole apart from other ski resorts is the breadth of its other offerings such as sleigh rides through the Elk Refuge, snowshoeing under the towering trees of Grand Teton national park, watching bison roam in one of the only places in the country you can see them and hot-tubbing in a natural hot spring, which the campaign reflects.

Running through March, the campaign will be supported by paid social and search and programmatic display and video.
