Best Buy Selects Rise and Shine

Following a national search, Best Buy has selected Rise and Shine and Partners as one of its primary agency partners. The independent, full-service brand and creative agency will bring the retailer’s recent brand refresh to life across digital campaigns, leading the development of Best Buy’s display portfolio ranging from high-impact, full-funnel efforts to personalized, lower-funnel tactics. With this big win, Rise and Shine joins the growing trend of small agencies winning major accounts.
“Ultimately, Rise and Shine won us over by bringing big agency talent and technology with the nimbleness and partnership of a small agency,” says Molly Kinsella, Senior Vice President, Media and Creative at Best Buy. “Their creativity – combined with their innovative approach to helping us customize processes and optimize systems – inspired us to start thinking and working differently.”
In early July, Best Buy began rolling out a brand refresh with a bold new color palette, holographic spokesperson (aka Gram) and new tagline: Imagine that. The brand refresh work was created by Best Buy’s in-house agency. For its Back-to-School debut, Rise and Shine created hundreds of digital display, audio and on-site creative units to showcase the brand’s new look and feel.
“When we got the big news from Best Buy, we were ready for it,” says Kevin DiLorenzo, President/CEO of Rise and Shine and Partners. “We were able to scale quickly, because we’d proactively built the right team and pre-sold a smart action plan with the right amount of flex and agility to meet the complex demands of modern retail.”
Part of the action plan includes leveraging the agency’s proprietary technology, including the potential of Black Rabbit A.I. – an innovative platform that automates and produces specific creative assets in a matter of minutes, not days or weeks. Black Rabbit A.I. was built to serve clients that need to feed hungry marketing ecosystems with creative content.
“Our Black Rabbit A.I. does what rabbits do best. Replicates!” says Matt Burgess, Chief Creative Officer/Partner at Rise and Shine and Partners. “It’s designed to amplify human ideas and creativity F-A-S-T.”
The Best Buy win comes on the heels of a few other high-profile announcements from Rise and Shine. Over the past two years, the independent agency has been on a roll with the addition of other big brand wins including PING, Supercuts, Webex by Cisco, and the Minnesota Twins.
