Overview:
The primary role of the Account Manager is to be the steward of specified 3M client projects, ensuring that projects start with the greatest chance of success, and are managed to stay on strategy, on track, and on budget. Specifically, you will be responsible for gathering critical project information, client objectives and success requirements, and formulating them into SOWs and project briefs that will lead the internal team in delivering upon the client’s objectives. You will continue to represent our agency to the client throughout the execution of projects, day-to-day client management, and ensure deliverables are achieved with the highest standard of quality and measures of success. Strong communication and negotiation skills are required – both written and oral; account and client leadership; and a proven ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Maintain and nurture business relationships with existing 3M clients
+ Day-to-day client lead, meeting and liaising with clients to discuss scope, deliverables, project status, etc.
+ Work with Account Director to prepare client plans and recommendations
+ Work with the internal team to devise strategies that meet the client’s business objectives and budget
+ Develop project scopes, define objectives and requirements, collaborate with client and internal SME’s
+ Request and coordinate development and client approval of project estimates
+ Present, alongside agency colleagues, agency recommendations to the client
+ Lead status meetings and communications with clients, project stakeholders, external partners and internal team
+ Work closely with internal teams (creative, strategy, production, project management) to ensure successful project communication and delivery
+ Proof all client work before presenting to client
+ Manage client assets and deliverables
+ Work with other account, project management and finance staff to generate client billing
+ Present yourself to customers in a way that reflects SCHERMER as a positive, professional organization dedicated to customer service
+ Maintain confidentiality while working closely with 3M and their brand
+ Own other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements:

+ 5-10 years of marketing agency experience required, including a mix of digital and traditional B2B marketing initiatives. Experience working with 3M a plus.
+ Ideal candidate will have strong client relationship experience
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team and one-on-one
+ Proficiency in managing client budgets
+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the overall vision
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for multiple client individuals within 3M
+ Recognize problems, identify possible causes/solutions and resolve routine problems, while escalating serious issues appropriately
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills
+ Superior communication ability, both oral and written
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
