A Video Editor is a highly conceptual individual who contributes to a highly creative team. You
are a talented production specialist with a creative soul, experienced on set and in the post
suite -- in short, a cinematographer, editor, visual effect and graphic artist, working on a broad
variety of projects, ranging from motion graphic projects to short and long form video content.
After the shoot, you use your artistic and technical chops (literally) to edit, sequence, and
enhance a story so that it is presented with maximum effect and within the project's
parameters. You're the one who gives it the "wow" factor.
Contribute to pre-production through creative concepting and storyboarding.
Capture video footage, as directed by the creative concept boards and visual treatment
Edit the raw footage, evaluating, removing, trimming and cropping from long shoots and
Appropriately set the style, pace or mood of the video and give it the desired angle.
Manage final deliverables, digital assets, and project archives.
Additional Responsibilities and Expectations
Collaborate with Agency teams; attend meetings; deliver fresh, on-brand ideas;
communicate effectively; and support other functions to ensure timely completion, client
satisfaction, and excellent internal relationships.
Encode, export, and manage final compositions, digital assets, and project archives.
Stay abreast and quickly develop an understanding of new technologies and techniques.
Continually develop, broaden and deepen your skill sets; attend external courses and
seminars to gather insights and share with the team; participate in professional
organizations; and keep up to date with industry trends and standards, always thinking of
how to integrate emerging trends into client work.
