Capsule is seeking a full-time Copywriter to add to our team of strategists, researchers and designers. We’re looking for someone with the aptitude to translate complex and diverse subject matter into salient, creative brand messaging strategies and content that will resonate with clients and consumers.

Our Copywriters help build and rebuild brands, defining their voices, stories and meaningful messages across mediums. We’re looking for someone who can not only put pen to paper and articulate a clear brand voice, but someone with the ability to listen, think critically, collaborate and contribute to highly strategic work.

As a Copywriter at Capsule, you will have the ability to work on diverse brand challenges across diverse industries, as well as collaborate across internal research, strategy and design teams. Leading and supporting multiple projects at once, candidates should be comfortable owning their writing process, managing their time and presenting their work, with the support of your project team for every step of the way.

In addition, you’ll also have the opportunity to support internal Capsule marketing efforts, crafting original content, helping showcase our work and providing writing feedback and guidance across the organization when needed. As a lean team, we look for candidates that are able to jump into new challenges, take initiative and maintain our culture by taking on miscellaneous tasks at times too.

PROJECT TYPES:
• Develop Brand Messaging strategies: Craft unique narratives, voices and audience-specific high level messages and headlines for client use across medium that help define their brand
• Brand and product naming: Lead and collaborate with project team on naming ventures
• Brand content creation: Collaborate with designers to craft copy across various mediums (websites, packaging, social media, digital and print collateral)
• Brand definition strategies: Assist in brand definition client workshops and help distill client visions into thoughtful, well-worded strategies and architectures via Capsule’s Foundations process
• Audience deep dives: Get a firsthand view into the voice of the customer, working with our research team to identify audiences or assist on customer interviews or create written testing stimuli, helping identify audience needs and strategies for how to speak to them best
• Capsule content creation: Collaborate with marketing and biz dev teams to maintain Capsule voice across platforms and ideate content that promotes our brand
• Content editing, proofing and guidance: Be a team player and wordsmith across the organization, providing feedback and guidance for miscellaneous copywriting needs

IDEAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of creative copywriting or technical writing experience, and a portfolio of writing examples to share
• Experience working in client-serving creative space or experience working for multiple different clients/brands/projects (advertising, marketing, design, freelance, or other relevant role)
• Experience leading or managing multiple projects at once
• Ability to quickly learn about new topics or industries and distill information
• Ability to write in unique voices, styles and tell compelling brand stories that are both metaphorical and technical
• Strong communication, interpersonal, active listening and presentation skills
• Experience writing, editing and/or publishing in the form of blogs, email marketing, case studies, social posts, etc.
• Passionate, curious, flexible, empathetic and driven
