TYPE: Part Time / 20 hrs/wk (with potential to become full time role)

JOB DESCRIPTION

If you enjoy being behind cameras and in front of crowds, take social media seriously, love exploring (and talking about) new places and meeting new people? This might be your ideal half-time hustle.

The Social Marketing Manager is responsible for the day to day management of various online and offline marketing efforts including: PubPass social media channels, in-person events, digital content creation and community management.

This digital role will also be consumer-facing and involve a visible presence as a member of our team — emceeing events and parties, representing PubPass on TV shows, recording interviews with brewers and more. The ideal candidate will love both!

JOB DUTIES:

SOCIAL MEDIA / DIGITAL MARKETING

Content strategy and creation, including photography and video storytelling

Community engagement

Owning and maintaining editorial calendar for all social media platforms, including writing, curating and scheduling all posts from social accounts

Identifying and engaging with influencers to help elevate our brand and amplify points of view

Managing the brand's social presence day-to-day, monitoring channels, responding to posts and managing reputation issues appropriately

Responding to customer-service emails as needed

EVENTS

Coordinate and attend events in our markets across the country

Emcee events and engage with attendees as needed

Schedule music and entertainment in coordination with Director of Marketing and city curators

MEDIA

Write and submit press releases to media outlets (TV, magazines, etc)

Participate in on-camera interviews as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates creativity and existing immersion in social media

Highly creative writing experience with a great sense of humor and wit

Comfortable being on-camera and maintaining a fun, but professional candor

Possesses knowledge and experience in traditional and digital marketing

Can read a room and empathize easily with PubPass users, partners and team

Experience with content development and publishing tools, including video/photo editing software

Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.) and how each platform can be utilized in different scenarios

Maintains excellent writing and language skills

Experience writing press releases and pitching story concepts to media outlets

Working knowledge of the blogger/influencer ecosystem relevant to PubPass

Comfortable planning events and speaking in front of a crowd

Ability to work independently and use good judgment in bringing to life the mission and voice of PubPass

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledgeable about the craft beer industry

Photography and videography experience

Experience with public relations tools and practices.

WORK DAYS: This position requires that essential functions are performed during weekend and/or evening hours as needed / reasonable. Our users are interacting with us mostly at night and on weekends. It’s a craft beer business. You get the idea.
