It's a fundraiser. Each Trivia team of 4-6 collectively raises money as a team.
The Midcontinent Oceanographic Institute, the Minneapolis chapter of Dave Egger’s 826 national organization (other chapters include the Pirate Supply Store in San Francisco, the Brooklyn Hero Supply Co., and The Time Travel Mart in Los Angeles).
The Midcontinent Oceanographic Institute (MOI) provides creative writing, tutoring, and publishing for underserved youth, K-12. When kids can write confidently and joyfully, and get those words published, they transform themselves and their communities for the better.
MOI NEEDS TRIVIA TEAMS! AND THE FACT IS, PEOPLE IN ADVERTISING/MARKETING TEND TO KNOW A LOT OF STUFF. This annual MOI fundraising event is always a lot of fun, too.
