Job Title: Account Executive
Reports To: Group Account Director
OVERVIEW
The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day protection and advancement of client relationships while growing their businesses. This role oversees the execution of client communications plans/campaigns/projects, to ensure effective, on time, and on budget implementation. In addition, the Account Executive supports leadership on all financial contracts and forecasting to promote the continued success of our clients and our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
Handles day-to-day account activities for assigned clients and supports account leadership in managing overall client relationships.
Has an emerging, yet strong understanding of all agency functional offerings and our integrated ways of working.
Leads/facilitates/participates in all client meetings (external and internal) with support of account leadership.
Completes and disseminates conference reports/action reports as required.
Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications.
Regularly informs account team on client status and escalates with the account supervisor immediately in the event of potential issues/problems.
Checks and approves agency deliverables, prior to client review, to ensure it is on brief, meets requirements and ladders up to the overall strategy.
Coordinates and oversees client’s reviews and approvals.
Assists in preparing client proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and public relations plans.
Is knowledgeable and stays current with clients’ brands/products/services.
Supports new business development activity within the organization when needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.S. in agriculture and/or food business, marketing, journalism, communications and or related field
Experience in agriculture/crop protection is preferred
2–5 years of experience managing client accounts in public relations, advertising, marketing and communications
Proven track record of managing agency and client relationships
