about the e-commerce photography contractor (MPLS) role:
the e-commerce photography contractor at soona is a seasoned master of product on white e-commerce photography and has deep experience with the highest level of technical standards and production processes across industries. this contract/consulting role will be responsible for auditing our current production system, creating standards, recommendations and processes for gear/products, set up, workflow and post-processing that allow us to consistently deliver the best of product on white e-commerce while finding efficiencies in costs and time.

an ideal candidate will have extensive experience with e-commerce photography at scale, studio lighting and gear, industry standards including GS1, and is adept at adobe suite with an emphasis on photoshop and lightroom and understands the relationship between creating consistent raw images and effectively batch processing images.

the creative technical consultant role will require a self-starting, autonomous and detail-oriented approach. the creative technical consultant will work closely with the director of creative, the creative ops lead and post production manager to create a streamlined approach to e-commerce photography. this is a part-time contract position that will report directly to the director of creative.

an ideal candidate can:
- establish detailed standard operating procedures for product on white e-commerce photography
- create light mapping documentation and training materials
- setup, light and shoot complex e-commerce products (reflections, floating objects, 360 video)
- knowledgeable on current ecommerce trends and market needs (GS1, Amazon)
- audit and identify problems and shortfalls in our current procedures
- monitor and evaluate the overall project
- prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports
- ability to create scripts in photoshop

has experience in:
- 3+ years direct ecommerce technical standards experience including development of production processes
- 3-5 years proven experience in a creative field
- master of product studio lighting techniques and technology
- technically savvy, experience with product on white eCommerce photography
- strong understanding of adobe suite
- strong problem-solving abilities
- exceptional research and reporting skills
- excellent collaborative skills and ability to maintain positive work relationships
- top-notch communication skills for presenting new ideas and strategies that can improve current planning processes
- excellent oral and written skills
