“Alone In The Darkness” is a single from SIAMÉS’ new album “MELODRAMATIC” (2024), featuring an animated music video created by MAKE Originals and directed by Danny Robashkin.

“We’re a team of passionate artists who love telling our own stories—not just for ourselves, but also for other creators. This is our first opportunity to create a story and build a new world for an amazing group of creatives that we’re big fans of!” — Danny Robashkin, Creative Director.

“Alone In The Darkness” is about exactly what the title suggests—how everyone, at one point or another, has to face demons within that only they can see. People can try to run from what torments them, but eventually, they have to confront their fears and anxieties head-on or risk being controlled by their demons for their entire lives. In this music video, the theater of the mind becomes the stage where one exits the darkness and steps into the light.

‘Darkness’ was a visual motif the artists worked to weave into the art direction and animation from the very beginning, treating light as a scarce resource and drawing inspiration from film noir cinematography. The animation is lush even as the compositions are minimal and stark, leaning into the craft of hand-drawn 2D animation to bring the darkness to life.
