Swim Creative, a branding, interactive, and advertising firm, invites Grandma’s Marathon spectators and the general public to check out a new augmented reality (AR) experience during Grandma’s Marathon weekend – and maybe even win a free ice cream from Love Creamery!

The AR experience goes live on Wednesday, June 19, and runs through Sunday, June 23, 2024. Viewers can simply scan the QR code placed in the front window of Swim’s Downtown Duluth office (located at 3 West Superior Street) to trigger the AR experience on their devices. Spectators can then interact with the AR design and claim a custom digital token redeemable for one free ice cream at either Love Creamery location. There are only 50 tokens available so claim one while you can!

This event marks the beginning of Swim’s expansion into immersive brand experiences. Augmented reality is just one of many applications that the Swim team has been training on, along with Adobe’s latest tools and technology, including Aero – a program specifically for building AR experiences. Swim will be offering immersive marketing experiences to new and existing clients, both locally and nationally.

“We are constantly pushing creative to new levels and we want to take our local community with us,” says Swim Co-owner and Brand Director, David Sadowski. “Immersive experiences are the future of advertising and we’re excited to lead, share, and collaborate with other local creatives to elevate Duluth’s marketing capabilities.”
