Despite the COVID-19 cloud hanging over the 2020 season, it’s still a big year for the Minnesota Twins. Carmichael Lynch’s latest campaign work is just as tasty–if not tastier—than last season’s work.
The broadcast spots and ambient creative elements posted around the stadium build on 2019’s design-centric campaign and reflect the energy and opportunity of the team that became known as the #BombaSquad.
“No Hay” plays off a hashtag #NoHayDescanso, or there is no rest, used often in the team’s social posts. Imagery pulled from the ball club’s Instagram accounts show players working out in the offseason back in their hometowns overlaid with futuristic imagery.
“Squad” captures the playful ease, brotherhood and unity this team is now known for. The spot shows as many players as possible together as a unit. They’re shot in street clothes reflecting the freedom and flatness that Rocco Baldelli, the MLB’s youngest manager, brings to his own role.
The spots were produced by Wolf & Crowe and directed by Ben Hansford. Kevin Lynch shot the still photography used. Carmichael Lynch ECD and design director Milton Un along with art director and senior designer Matt Rector created the freshest work in the MLB.
