Friends & Neighbors, the independent creative company based in downtown Minneapolis building brands on belief, today announces the promotion of two leaders within its creative department: Molly Dunne to Creative Director, and Justin Theroux to Associate Creative Director. In their new roles, Dunne and Theroux will expand their duties in the day-to-day management of F&N’s creative department, spearhead recruiting efforts, provide mentorship, and continue to partner with their colleagues and clients to find creative brand solutions to heady business challenges.
“Since the moment they started working here, Molly and Justin have consistently elevated our creative product through big ideas that combine brand humanity with sheer craft,” says Tom Fugleberg, Co-Founder, Chief Creative Officer, F&N. “They have also become valued partners our clients actively seek out and ask for. And proven cultural leaders within our own walls. They both richly deserve this recognition – and I have every confidence they’ll rock in their new roles. There’s no challenge too great for them.”
“It wasn’t so long ago that only 3% of Creative Directors were women,” says Dunne. “That stat has been a career catalyst for me. When we open the doors to include new voices in leadership positions, it makes all of our work better. Period. I’m proud to work at an agency
that lives that belief. F&N’s particular culture of creativity fosters insightful work and values independent thought; and that’s exactly the type of agency I want to help grow and grow with. I’m humbled, honored, and excited.”
Theroux also credits the agency’s creative culture as a factor in his own rapid rise. “Since I started at F&N, I’ve been introduced to growth in many ways beyond my own career path. Outside partners have become co-workers. Co-workers have become great friends. That kind of connection is what ultimately grows our creative product. I’m excited to help build that culture and make truly great work as ACD.”
