One in four car batteries will fail within a year. Unfortunately, no one thinks about replacing their battery until it’s too late. Factory Motor Parts wants to encourage consumers to have their batteries checked on a regular basis. A preventative measure that only takes a few minutes and can keep a bad situation from becoming worse.
“We wanted to develop an attention-grabbing campaign that reinforces FVP as a leader in automotive batteries and, as a service, remind consumers to have their batteries tested at a local shop this summer before a bad situation becomes worse,” said Amber Misunas, Senior Director of Marketing at Factory Motor Parts.
“The goal is to make the action of testing your battery a conscious ‘check-up’ habit. If they do need a battery, we hope they choose FVP, but mostly we want them to avoid the frustration and inconvenience of a dead battery.”
“This is an opportunity for Factory Motor Parts to be responsible for changing a long-held consumer habit of ignoring their car battery,” said Ryan Boekelheide, VP Director of Account Management at Griffin Archer. “Our hope is to make that easy check-up as synonymous and regular as changing the oil.”
The campaign will also launch with outdoor, radio and digital advertising in major local markets.
