Periscope has been named agency of record for PEMCO Insurance, which supports a range of consumer insurance needs including auto, home, umbrella and boat insurance and has achieved one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry. The selection follows a competitive agency review supported by Mercer Island Group.

As PEMCO’s AOR, Periscope will collaborate to create and activate a new campaign platform including strategy, creative and website development and media planning across all relevant channels, with a heavy focus on digital.

“We were looking for a strategic agency partner with excellent, emotive creative and digital capabilities that can help further differentiate PEMCO with modern marketing approaches,” said MJ Vigil, PEMCO’s Chief People and Brand Officer. “People are the heart of our business. To ignite their energy, it’s critical to acknowledge trends and external influencers, and continuously work on building our organizational readiness, communications agility and change muscle.

“Being attuned, attentive and anticipatory to change is how we stay ahead of the competition and deliver award winning employee and customer service experiences,” Vigil said. “The agency we found, Periscope, is capable of breakthrough marketing and creating content that’s rooted in human insights and speaks to the heart of our specific audience.”

“One thing that drew me right away to PEMCO is its guiding principle to ‘choose relationships over transactions,’ which so closely aligns with our agency,” said Periscope CEO Liz Ross. “At Periscope, everything we do and create is guided by human insight, and we put emotions, not algorithms, at the core of our strategic process. We are excited to partner with a brand who understands that building trust and connections is what really captures consumers and ultimately moves a business’ bottom line. We are so energized about being able to deliver the kind of breakthrough, emotive creative that PEMCO needs to grow their business and achieve even greater levels of success.”

Steve Boehler, owner and founder of Mercer Island Group added, “This was a highly competitive, national agency search. The caliber of thinking Periscope brought to the table captivated our client from day one, and the agency’s integrated digital expertise and great chemistry with PEMCO’s broad team of experts sealed the deal.”

This announcement comes on the heels of Periscope’s 2018 brand refresh and the addition of other new clients to the agency’s roster of acclaimed brands, including Intuit Quickbooks and more.

This should keep the lights on for another couple weeks, at least.
