Fresh Meat Friday: Johnny Slocum

By rizeabove / / Get your phone calling hand ready and your resume acceptin’ engines fired up, we are about to share another one of the top young creatives in Minneapolis. Again, if you, a small company, or a youngin’ you know has roughly between 0-5 years of professional experience and a fantastic book. For all the glory (and a free steak) send along the information to: [email protected] Our Fresh Meat this week is a designer that hails from the land of Modern Climate where he works equally on the traditional and digital sides of things. Twin Cities meet Johnny Slocum. Johnny is our first young feature who hails from the great state of South Dakota where he earned his BFA in Design. From there he has touched a few agencies in town including doing work for Target, Grandpa-George, and Periscope before landing at Modern Climate. His work spans a nice range including posters, websites, mobile, and more. Some of his pastimes include, “Trying to learn how to unicycle and juggle.” Impressive, especially if done in unison. In all seriousness though he recently produced some cool work that we featured for Thermo King. Some of his current projects include rebranding ScanTron. Yes, those little green bubble sheets you penciled in to take your grade school tests. Check out more of Johnny’s portfolio after the jump. Also check out our last two features, Claire Bartels, a copywriter for hire and Kate Worum, an illustrator and designer.
