Sliq Spirited Ice Brand Launch and Product/Packaging Design

By / / We just finished up work with the nation’s largest frozen novelty producer and were hoping to showcase the work. Although it’s not necessarily the best time for the product hopefully we can give our community something to look forward to when summer rolls around and we’re let out of our house. Agency Squid was brought in by Jel Sert (the makers of Otter Pops and Fla-Vor-Ice) to develop a new alcoholic frozen bar for the summer. Thanks to our expertise in the Ready-to-Drink space given our past work with Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Oskar Blues Brewery, and White Claw Hard Seltzer, we helped bring the idea to life by supporting them in the actual development of the product (ingredients, ABV, flavors) to naming it, branding it, and eventually launching it in time for retailers to bring it on for the summer. Sliq Spirited Ice was named for it’s texture, it’s alcohol base, and the emotion consumers will get from enjoying the product. From there we developed the identity around an iceberg that takes on the shape of an ice cream cone to help communicate what the product is. We then developed the packaging design and custom die line around the iceberg to elevate the product among it’s competitors, most of whom are in large plastic tubs. The website was designed and developed around educating consumers on the product and where to find it by taking a mobile-first approach. Since the launch Sliq Spirited Ice has been picked up by publications like My Recipes and Delish even being called the next Hard Seltzer for the 2020 summer. For more information we’ve provided a link to our portfolio/case study that shows you our process and where we’re at now. If there’s any additional information you need from us please don’t hesistate to reach out and thanks in advance for the love. – Miles Marmo | Co-founder, Agency Squid
