Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Accounts Manager is to set the strategy, own the client relationship, manage the account structure and liaise with the PR + Social/Digital teams to obtain success on behalf of the client.
The Accounts Manager will need to be extremely organized and have a deep understanding of a client's business and growth objectives. The candidate will be empowered to make significant decisions on behalf of Lola Red’s mid to large-sized clients to help move their businesses forward and to guide the account team to success under their direction. Additionally, this role will need to be a skilled project manager,
In this unique role, Lola Red is looking for an individual that can manage several projects — in several different industries – all at once, and keep your team on time and on task and accounts profitable.

Responsibilities
Account Management
Serve as client lead and consultant for mid + large-sized accounts
Seek opportunity and leverage agency offerings to help manage, grow and upsell account opportunities
Manage realistic timelines + deliverables on behalf of clients
Astute in industry trends, financial implications, competitive set and other business implications on behalf of each client
Keen problem solver with the ability to remove obstacles + barriers on behalf of clients; strong negotiator
Manage client relationship with a “hospitality” approach by anticipating their needs and willingness to serve
Manage project profitability + budgets
Oversee account hours and distribution of hours
Tactical responsibilities:
Serve as main client communicator, looping in PR + Social/Digital team members where necessary
Lead and set client strategy
Lead any and all client planning
Review and approve client work with key understanding of process
Lead messaging + branding work on behalf of clients
Spearhead and manage client calls, delegate to PR + Social/Digital team members where necessary
Team + Account Management
Oversee the account structure on each account
Assign project tasks and keep team on track
Manage, train + educate Account Coordinators
Attract key talent for new hires
Lead, strategize and provide structure to the account team, ensuring success on behalf of clients
Instill a collaborative and highly productive working environment
Department Responsibilities
Build out profitable client budgets
Negotiate service contract and costs with clients as needed
Help sell-in client strategies and relationship management in new business meetings for mid to large-sized accounts

New Business
Ideate strategy for pitch decks alongside Partnerships Team to pitch new business
Help to pitch net-new business projects alongside Partnerships Team
Help sell-in client strategies and relationship management in new business meetings for mid to large-sized accounts
Work with Account lead to upsell additional account work follow-on work for current projects
Identify opportunities to get short-term projects as long-term, retainer clients
Participate in research, scope-building and budgeting for projects
Requirements + Soft Skills
5-7 years of agency or account management/ project management experience
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, strategic communications, marketing and/or communications
Strong business acumen
Proven leadership in managing, guiding and successfully developing a team
Ability to manage projects autonomously from initiation to completion in a fast-paced environment
Superb prioritization and organizational skills
Work well in a team environment as well as independently
Must be willing to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines
Must be self-motivated, have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take proactive initiatives.
Responsive and flexible to evolving agency and client needs
Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor communications based on the audience and situation
Ability to lead well under pressure
