We are looking for a rock star Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Innovation team. The purpose of this team member is to build brand engagement & affinity across all facets of the brand. The Duke Cannon brand has built a cult following. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining & growing this following by executing breakthrough creative across all consumer touchpoints, such as: new product packaging, digital assets, print assets, video production support, shopper marketing, etc. This position will report to the Lead Designer, but will work closely with all members of the creative team.

You’re a creative thinker and a damn good designer with work to prove it. You’re passionate about the work you do and it means something to you. Life is too short for it not too.

You’ve spent roughly 3 years in a tactical/entry/junior level design role (or two), honing your skillset and gaining a practical understanding of what it means to design within brand standards. You’re an expert at expressing your creative ideas, and you prefer collaboration over autonomy. You’ve learned how to take feedback, without taking it personally, because you’re hungry for any opportunity to learn and grow as a designer.

You’re a grinder, not a nine-to-fiver, and you’re ready to tackle high-stakes work. Nine-to-fivers need not apply.

As a Graphic Designer at Duke Cannon, you’ll work within a close-knit team of creatives to help bring high-stakes packaging, print, and digital deliverables to life. On a given day, you’ll flex between multiple design projects ranging from packaging layouts to assets for product launch campaigns. You’ll utilize your expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to execute assignments within brand standards. Ultimately, your goal is to take creative direction and input from senior team leaders and turn it into top-notch work that builds consumer affinity and drive sales.

This role requires passion and desire to work in a dynamic, fast moving, entrepreneurial environment. The hours can be long and intense, but incredibly rewarding. There is no red tape, there are no BS client meetings. Your work will matter. If you question whether this job is for you—it’s not.

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design (or closely related discipline)
• 3 years of professional design experience (agency or in-house)
• Expert knowledge of: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Portfolio with examples of print/packaging work and digital/social media content work
• Strong preference for: applicants with 3D modeling/rendering experience
• Also a plus: background or professional experience in/with photography, video editing, Adobe Light Room, and/or Adobe Premier
• Passionate, positive, and strong sense of humor

In addition to being creative as hell, you need to be sharp, resourceful, ambitious, and willing/able to work in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. You have to be comfortable knowing every day will pose new challenges, the pace will always be quick, and the expectations will always be high.

Duke Cannon Supply Co. is a premium men’s grooming and lifestyle products brand that was founded in 2011 by two CPG marketing executives with over 25 combined years of experience at Fortune 100 companies. We’re innovation and brand driven. We have a fast-paced, high growth culture with incredible access to retail buyers (i.e., Target, Duluth Trading, Carhartt, etc.), brand partners (i.e., Buffalo Trace, GORUCK, Pabst Brewing Co., etc.) and the surrounding community. All Duke Cannon products are manufactured in the USA and we give a portion of profits back to Veterans Causes.

As a lean organization, our culture is fast-paced; decisions are vetted quickly and opportunities are relentlessly attacked. There are long days, but we understand the need for personal flexibility, as well. In general, we have a very informal culture the emphasizes having fun (we sell soap, after all), though we have the most fun when we exceed our financial goals. The company’s leaders are dedicated to the growth and development of the team; as such, we want to ensure that all employees have a richer, more rewarding experience than what one might expect working for a large company. We have a killer new 5000 square foot office in the Warehouse District. We have happy hours, Friday morning breakfasts, and Greco Roman Wrestling Tuesdays (this hasn’t happened yet…but it might).

Salary range is $50-55k with a monthly stipend to cover insurance. Bonus eligibility starts after 6 months of employment. Because of our rapid growth, bonus payouts have continually exceeded base expectations and compensation increases have greatly outpaced inflation. We’re growing tremendously and rewarding those who help us achieve that growth.
