Description

North Hennepin Community College (Brooklyn Park, MN) has an adjunct
opportunity for graphic design professionals to teach daytime graphic design
classes on campus during the 2018-2019 academic year. Subjects include:

▪ beginning web design (fall semester 2018)
▪ intermediate web design (spring semester 2019)
▪ beginning Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign training & integration (fall
semester 2018)
▪ typography (spring semester 2019)

Any combination of these classes may be considered by applicants for this
opportunity. Minimum education and experience requirements to teach in the
NHCC Graphic Design Program are as follows:

▪ Associate’s Degree in graphic design + two full-time years (or equivalent)
of verified related paid work experience. One year of this work experience
must be within the past five years unless an applicant has two years of
successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in
graphic design during the past five years.

Preferred education and experience requirements are as follows:

▪ Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design + two full-time
years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience. One year of
this work experience must be within the past five years unless an applicant
has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary
teaching experience in graphic design during the past five years.
