acowsay cinema in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative person for an immersive apprenticeship in creative, strategy & production.

acowsay cinema was founded on the principle that story always wins. We are a 2x Upper Midwest Regional Emmy-winning full-service production company. We use visual storytelling to communicate purpose-driven messages. Our partners are more relevant, entertaining, and genuine in how they present reasons why they matter. Past partners include Great Clips, the Minnesota Wild, Samsung, United Way, and Johnson & Johnson.
A little about you
The ideal candidate will have:
•A strong understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud, most notably Premiere and Photoshop.
•Experience in video and media production using mirrorless, DSLR and/or cinematic cameras.
•A desire to understand how storytelling can be utilized as a means to action, and its capabilities for use as a marketing tool.
*Have InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects expertise? Even better. Worked with ARRI or RED cinema cameras? Now you’re talking. Interested in copywriting, photography, or design? Perfect.
The ideal candidate should be:
•Multi-faceted in your creative capabilities, or eager to expand your knowledge.
•Detail-oriented, friendly, flexible, organized, focused, and professional.
•Strong communication skills.
•Able to work collaboratively with a tight-knit team in a friendly yet ambitious environment.
This will be a fun role with a lot of opportunities for creativity. We’re looking for an energetic, passionate person who can learn quickly, think strategically, and jump in when opportunity presents itself. There is the potential for national and international travel. This position reports to the Creative Director.
Expectations
10-15 hours/week, based upon production calendar.
Duration & Compensation
4-month paid position based on qualifications.
Timing: January 1 - May 15, or start date and/or end date negotiable based on availability.
