Creative Director, Americas
Creative Director’s at Designit are craftsman, makers and storytellers that use design to bring ideas to life, transform businesses and move culture. They lead multidisciplinary projects into uncharted territories, and approach projects with logic paired with wild innovative spirit. They are masters of visual, verbal and behavioral design, always mindful not just of how it looks, but how it works and the overall impact.
Creative Director’s are the on-the-ground influencers for creative culture and innovation; a star in the creative community. You’ll lead a team of creatives on various initiatives across product, digital and physical design, always with the mission crafting, cultivating, and spreading your creative expertise. You’ll take charge of a project from conception to execution. You’ll be the go-to resource for our creative leadership, helping your team accomplish large design initiatives with the intention of creating and driving our level of creative execution to the moon.
The Creative Director is a dynamic agency leader who drives a creative vision across multiple teams to create and produce novel, sometimes revolutionary, solutions for clients. Creative Directors lead portfolios of client business, build and lead multidisciplinary teams, and routinely interact with key senior clients and stakeholders.

Lead and inspire all levels of creative leadership, creative strategy, creative direction and execution of multiple client projects
Ensure the quality of work produced is in line with agency and client expectations
Serve as a department leader and ensure the continued growth of the team
Lead client relationships and work to deepen their knowledge of branding
Identify the conceptual and strategic direction for various projects, and clearly presents those ideas to the team and the client
Attract, develop and retain top creative talent
Inspire all levels of creative leadership
Partner with strategy lead to develop unified creative briefs
Provide high-level concept guidance to optimize creative work produced by their teams
Promote and facilitate a culture of collaboration between agency and clients
Foster ongoing improvements in creative processes and methodologies
Ensure creative objectives and approaches align with both agency and client goals
Lead creative for new business as well as pitch new business
Inspire and motivate the team creatively — make it about them, never about yourself
Motivate reluctant clients to embrace better work than requested
Determine staffing plan and overall reporting structure for the team
Conduct ongoing performance reviews of the team and provide team members with opportunities to grow and thrive creatively

We would like you to have...
Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills
10+ years’ design/copy/digital creative experience in branding, web, advertising and marketing
An in-depth understanding of HTML, Adobe CS, Sketch, Principle, Figma, and Google Work Tools
Demonstrated history of being an extremely strong leader who can manage multiple clients and projects
Ample experience working with and presenting to clients of all levels
Has a strong knowledge of branding, interaction design, technology, usability and experience design
A creative heart with a passion for growing and galvanizing teams of creatives
Both a thinker and a doer
Is a fresh thinker who embraces challenges and new methods of thinking and making
Is self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
Is a brilliant collaborator - willing to shape ideas as well as build on the ideas of others
Integrate new ways of working that lead the industry forward

Ideally, a CD has a bachelor’s in design, advertising, journalism or a related field, and/or attended portfolio school
