Job Description

Working alongside the agency’s client development and client services teams, this role involves creating new business proposals and RFP responses, interacting with and qualifying prospective clients, overseeing the agency’s inquiry database, and maintaining and improving general new business processes and organization. This position requires someone who is self-driven, intrinsically motivated to complete high quality work, and genuinely passionate about digital marketing and people. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and communication skills and is able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


-Qualify new prospects that contact NH via phone or website, including leading introductory phone calls to determine fit

-Manage the agency’s internal new business process – keep our lead tracking systems up-to-date, work to prioritize new business initiatives, keep agency capabilities presentations current, capture meeting details

-Present agency capabilities to viable prospects

-Manage external communication with agency prospects

-Complete research in support of new business pitches

-Develop new business pitches and RFP responses, including management of pitch timeline and coordination of internal pitch team

-Develop and write proposals and statements of work

-Create regular new business reports that showcase key metrics and are shared with the executive team

-Work cross-functionally with NH project management and leadership teams to estimate projects and price SOWs

-Work cross-functionally with account and media teams to develop case studies used in new business and agency marketing

-Assist with the execution of agency marketing initiatives and participate in marketing planning for the agency

-Work with the Executive and Leadership teams for ad hoc requests or projects


-3 – 5 years of experience in sales and marketing; digital agency experience preferred

-College degree in business, marketing, or communications preferred

-Self-starter approach to work, positive attitude, and drive to consistently meet and exceed expectations to take on more responsibility – this position requires thinking two steps ahead of what’s needed for a business pitch and proactively making it happen

-A strong professional presence, with the confidence and polish to present both internally and externally

-Excellent prospect-facing skills, including written emails, phone calls, in-person meetings, presentations, and industry events

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a heavy emphasis on persuasive business writing and PowerPoint presentations

-Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines

-Innately curious about digital marketing and intrinsically motivated to learn more about the agency, this industry, and our clients’ / prospective clients’ businesses

-Ability to understand a consultative sales process with a clear understanding of SEO, paid search, digital media, social media, content strategy, and analytics

-Advanced skills with PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word; design experience preferred

-Basic understanding of social media channels and use for business promotion

Basic understanding of website development / design, PR, traditional media, and creative preferred


This is an on-site position located at Nina Hale’s downtown Minneapolis headquarters. It requires the ability to work in downtown Minneapolis and in a high-rise corporate office setting.

Typical of a corporate office setting, Nina Hale’s office space:

-is designed with an open work space setting and common fluorescent lighting
-includes frequent co-worker interaction and corresponding noise levels
-is subject to inside environmental conditions

Sedentary work:

-this role is mainly a sedentary role with frequent sitting and occasional walking and/or standing
-this role involves frequent usage of a telephone, PC and standard monitors
-this role has minimal lifting requirements, may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

Requires minimal (0–10 percent) business travel:

-may occasionally require travel, all travel must be pre-approved and arrangements made according to Nina Hale’s policies/procedures.
