Duffy for the City of Lakes Cross Country Ski Festival

It's that time of year again. The City of Lakes Loppet is right around the corner. To help promote the event, Duffy stepped up (once again) with a poster. Along with the printing shots (below) Joseph wrote up a little something he calls, Why YOU should be a part of the City of Lakes Cross Country Ski Festival. February 4–5, 2012.

"Winter in Minnesota is not for the weak. Twenty below zero is too much for anyone, period. Sure, this year has been as mild as any in my 35 years of life but it will turn... at some point. And when it does, you have 2 options: Embrace it or hibernate.

It has always struck me odd that so many people—many of which have lived here their entire lives—have such a dislike for our winters? Surely you can find other places in this great country to set up shop and enjoy a full 12 months of "comfortable" weather? Or you can do what I was taught to do as far aback as I can remember: get out and enjoy it. One option takes place the 4th & 5th of February. The City of Lakes Nordic Ski Foundation has created a weekend of events for all walks of life. Celebrating Minnesotan winters in the best way possible. You have numerous opportunities to spectate or participate and I'm confident that once you do either, it will easily become an annual tradition that can be passed down to generations.

Now if we could only get some snow!"
