Right now, we’re searching for a Business Development Director to help us accelerate our goal of playing on the national stage with purpose-driven clients. 

More than anything it will be your job to generate a steady flow of qualified growth opportunities, build the relationship and sell in a consultative fashion, close new business, and hand off to internal teams for execution. You’ll have:
• 5+ years of business development experience at a marketing agency or leadership role within an agency (client leadership or strategy leadership)
• Past experience and a demonstrated passion for working with brands in the Health & Happiness B2C category. Must be knowledgeable about trends and culture surrounding the health & wellness lifestyle
• Ability to drive sales independently, but also captain a larger internal team for more sophisticated responses
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously in a quick-paced environment
• Demonstrable track records selling retainers, and large budget projects
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think creatively around pricing strategy and have a mind for numbers
• Personal drive for perfection and the ability to make effective decisions and see them through
• Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands and business environments, sense of urgency
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people skills working with internal teams and client teams
• Assertiveness, directness, and a “company first” mentality

Roles/Responsibilities:
Execution of entire sales cycle, including:
• Qualification of leads and potential Q&A response / introductory calls
• Creation of pitch decks and/or estimates, defining steps and scope
• Acting as the ‘Pitch Captain’ and wrangling internal teams to deliver A-level responses
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and costs for services with clients
• Ensure the handoff is smooth for internal teams to begin work
• Updating our CMS / PipeDrive and lead follow-through and relationship building
• Work within our lead generation systems to create new opportunities, analyze what’s working and adjust as needed. 
• Provide any new leads from our research or tools
• Market analysis to determine new opportunities for the agency

Compensation:
$100k-$140k annual salary plus the opportunity for commission. Benefits include unlimited PTO, 401k match, Health & Happiness Stipend, profit sharing, and more.
