If you're not going to Art-A-Whirl, the nation's largest open studio art crawl, in NE Minneapolis, or you want to hit up another event or two over the weekend, we have a few for you. The first is a celebration at the Minnesota Zoo for the park's 35th Anniversary of being open. It will be full of family fun events including Magician Matt Dunn will perform. Zookeepers will give talks on tiger cubs, black and grizzly bears, otters, and other animals. Kids can make a puppet craft and get their face painted. It's all happening this weekend from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at a cost of $12-$18.

The second is Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild's event "10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer" which started last Monday, May 13, and is wrapping up this weekend. It was established to celebrate the 10,000 minutes in our week, 10,000 lakes in Minnesota, and the almost 10,000 different craft brews available in our great state. It is jam-packed with a ton of different sweet events from a brewer's bazaar to tap takeover and more. You can get the details on all of the events happening right here.
